    Thumbs up Lifesaving (pricewise) pedals

So, I've been looking for the cheapest pedals possible. I found them, their Danelectro pedals, I've heard possitive reviews and am going to try them out. I've heard people even get their stuff for $15 US

Heh, well it will be my first pedal. Better than no pedal.

I trust the reviews, I also am low on money due to pocket money and such, it'll be something for youth group and since I'm a semi lead guitarist it'll fit in with some stuff I do.

I had a Chorus pedal.I think it was a milkshake or some wierd name.....It was a good pedal for the price....it would be a good 1st pedal....
I think you would get more use out of a Chorus instead of a Flanger,,just offering my opinion...There are alot more uses for a Chorus....And by turning up the rate you get a Flanger like effect also.....Something you might think about....

You neer know, possibilities are close to endless. And there's no such thing as a bad guitar, or bad player, or bad pedal.

Cool to know someone's stuck with a certain pedal for so long.

Then you're most likely sacrificing quality for price...
Not saying you need to spend a lot of money for a good pedal, but generally you'll need to dish out some cash to find a pedal that will sound good to your ears and to be able to last a long time...

Some of the Danelectro pedals arent that bad overall, especially considering price, but they dont have a very long life and if u gig alot thats cut even shorter. Plus, they're pc boards and wiring are so s----y that no one even fixes them or will bother to. But then again, the price of buyin a new one is most likely cheaper than even getting them repaired.

I truly miss my Tuna Melt Tremolo.. I have some boutique trems as well, and for some reason liked the Dan-e better for certain things.

hmm, I'll try just the one flanger. If I don't like it then I'll save up for a behringer of a boss Flanger.

Also, if you're lookin at some cheap pedals... Check out Bad Monkey & much of the lower Digitech Line... pretty decent sounding. Boss pedals can be gotten for fairly cheap, especially off Ebay and other used gear sites. Theres a new company called Modtone thats putting some decent stuff out too, in the 40 to 80 dollar range. Check em out.

I had the old Cool Cat chorus. That's not the one they're selling nowadays. A good sounding chorus, and the pedal itself was quite sturdy as well. Took up a lot of space on the pedalboard though.
Never tried the cheaper or more recent pedals like the Fabtones or mini pedals.

Don't get a cheap pedal. You'll pay twice as much, in the long run. I know that your young and not loaded, but trust me, save for something good. What about a Multi- Effects Pedal?

    Re: Lifesaving (pricewise) pedals

This is probably quite late in reply (last reply was 9-6-08) but check out some pedals by GFS (Untitled Page). They make their own pedals, are inexpensive and have sound-bytes so you can hear them all. Most expensive pedal they have is a Tube Overdrive Distortion for $69.95 (U.S.) next most expensive is their chorus pedal (which is a very nice pedal) for $51.95, all other pedals-various type distortions, flangers, phasers etc are $49.95 (U.S.) and less. ALSO CHECK OUT THEIR LINE OF GFS PICKUPS THAT ARE CURRENTLY GARNERING EXCELLENT REVIEWS VERY GOOD QUALITY PICKUPS AND VERY AFFORDABLY PRICED-for example a GFS ALNICO '59 PAF PICKUP for anywhere between $29.95 to $39.95 depending on whether you want uncovered black, white or zebra or covered chrome, nickle or gold. I thought that I saw a couple of reviews on this website regarding the GFS Pickups and/or check out Harmony Central for more reviews. Do yourself a favor and at least check these out--it won't cost you anything but a few minutes of your time and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I just ordered a pair of GFS Dream 180's (gold trim with pearloid centers) for my EPI LP Custom (white). By the way I DO NOT WORK FOR OR REPRESENT THIS COMPANY. I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THEM WHATSOEVER EXCEPT AS A NEW CUSTOMER. Thanks for listening and do check them out
