Hey SFK, That is nice. Did mounting it back like that, loosen your string tension and Give-ya a little more bite. Did it change the sound of that single coil?

Did some mods to my 80's Epi ...

New wiring, pots, caps, toggle, knobs, a Gibson '57 Classic in the bridge, and a smok'n pickup in the neck.

Thanks man!

Cuda, I read a lot on line about mounting these things and luthiers tend to want to make the string length longer for resonance. It worked man! It resonates for days and has kind of an airy quality. My string tension is pretty much the same but I can feel it vibrate through the whole guitar. And now when I roll back on my tone it keeps alot of the definition rather than mud. It may just be the bigsby but I think using the longer string length helped with tone also.

I just need to notch the bridge now b/c my strings move around when I dig in.

Re: Have You Customized Your Guitar ???

mine go through the same program of upgrades:

new strings, straplocks, pickups, hardware and electronics.

I basically buy them for the platform to build up to my personal specs.

Re: Have You Customized Your Guitar ???

I put locking tuners on my Strat. The tuners actually arrived before the guitar. After owning an American Deluxe with stock locking tuners, any non-vintage Fender I own immediately gets a set.

I also bought strap locks for my electrics, but my guitars are staying in their cases until the end of July, so I'll worry about that then.

Not necessarily my cup of tea, but my compliments to the artist. That's actually very impressive.
