    Acoustic performance equipment

I own an acoustic guitar (not acoustic-electric) and I want to get a good setup for live performances. I need advice on a pickup, an amp, and a microphone. I have been playing for about five years, but I am only a beginner with performing. I was looking at the Behringer ACX900 amp.

I've heard mixed reviews about Behringers durability, but I have no first hand experience. How much are you looking to spend?

    Re: Acoustic performance equipment

I've been doing some acoustic gigs lately and I installed an LR Baggs M1A in my old 1970 Martin D-18 and it sounds great. Very clear crisp signal and very quiet.

I've been running it into a Peavey Classic 30 so I can switch off to the electric on a few songs, but still looking for a better solution. The C30 is just a little too hot and midrange for an acoustic. Going to look into getting a nice acoustic amp or experiment more with running direct into the PA.

A Sure SM58 is your best bet for a vocal microphone.

    Found this demo on youtube:

I am looking to spend $300-400 on an acoustic amp. I just want something that can put out quality sound and maybe with a few effects (delay esp.). Also for vocals.
