yeah, im the same way too. if clapton never made an album after 1969, he'd still be one of my heros. Though i saw him in 07 and he was amazing. I never had much respect for his 'modern' strat sound, but it needs to be experienced in person to truly appreciate it

I will have to check it when I am at home and have sound.

I caught Thomas Blug on a free Licks Library DVD I got with a magazine. He is the Fender and Hughes and Ketner promo guy

Re: Greatest Ever Strat Player - Pictures Please

i would love to visit that planet. hes one of my true favorite guitarists (as well as Floyd as a band) He/they sounded truly original, which most people cant claim. there was no one like them before, and no one since.

Re: Greatest Ever Strat Player - Pictures Please

by most accounts Roger is a dick. I heard/read somewhere that when they got together to rehearse for the Live8 show, Waters showed up and starting playing director as if every one was coming in new, and the band had to remind him that they had already been playing together for years

Re: Greatest Ever Strat Player - Pictures Please

did you ever see the dvd (actually it was a tv special the first time i saw it) Paul McCartney live at the Cavern? Dave and someone else (probably a huge name, but i didnt know him at the time... or now) played guitar and Ian Paice was on drums. It was cool, it was mostly 50s rock tunes with some early beatles scattered about as well
