Hey SFK, That is nice. Did mounting it back like that, loosen your string tension and Give-ya a little more bite. Did it change the sound of that single coil?

Thanks man!
Cuda, I read a lot on line about mounting these things and luthiers tend to want to make the string length longer for resonance. It worked man! It resonates for days and has kind of an airy quality. My string tension is pretty much the same but I can feel it vibrate through the whole guitar. And now when I roll back on my tone it keeps alot of the definition rather than mud. It may just be the bigsby but I think using the longer string length helped with tone also.
I just need to notch the bridge now b/c my strings move around when I dig in.
i use a momentary kill switch for the machine gun effect
mine go through the same program of upgrades:
new strings, straplocks, pickups, hardware and electronics.
I basically buy them for the platform to build up to my personal specs.

I put locking tuners on my Strat. The tuners actually arrived before the guitar. After owning an American Deluxe with stock locking tuners, any non-vintage Fender I own immediately gets a set.
I also bought strap locks for my electrics, but my guitars are staying in their cases until the end of July, so I'll worry about that then.
I'm vintage anal about my Historic .. I put 59 knobs on my baby Sybil !!!

i have a 2008 american strat. i changed the bridge pu to a hot rails, and added a .033 uF vintage tone cap, and strap locks. future mods include 50s wiring mod, callaham trem block upgrade, locking tuners, and a stack type neck pu.
I'm planning to go with the Callaham trem block and locking tuners too for the strat I just got![]()

i usually swap out pickups when i get a new guitar. i also eliminate any extra knobs or switches i don't need. i have never liked tone knobs so i disconnect then or remove them. just put a p-rails in my hm strat. freaking awesome pickup!!!!. i then took the super 3 from the hm and put it in my crappy rg for fun. that guitar has never sounded better. my next project, wife willing, is to put p-rails in my washburn. i will then put the randall pickups from that into a LP copy i have laying around.![]()
My Gear:
Ibanez RG370DXGP4
Washburn WM-24
HM Strat
Austin LP copy
Line6 Spider IV
I always mod my guitars.
I change out pick ups, knobs, strap locks, tuners, and caps. Not all the time but majority of the time. I'm not a fan of the Kidney Bean tuners on Les Paul/SG so those definitely get replaced.
Here's my 2008 White Epi Custom.
