My guitar students made me proud...

The school I volunteer at once a week teaching guitar had its spring concert tonight. A couple of my students were out of town but I'm so proud of the two that played! They were a little nervous being the only two but they did a fine job on Sweet Home Alabama and Smoke On The Water. They are both only 5th graders so go easy on 'em.

Very hard to hear the kids. Did you do the backing track? Either way, rock on little dudes. they're great.

    Thanks for listening!

I wasn't running the sound/tracks and I agree it was hard to hear them above the backing track... they could really use a sound guy (e.g., it was even worse when the 4th grade chorus sang later - track over powered them). I did get them to fix it better for the performance the next day at school.

As for making the backing tracks - I edited them down from a MIDI file and an instrumental recording I had.
