Jeff Beck at the Grammys!

I know it's old news but did anyone catch Mr. Beck's performance at the Grammys? I'm not a big Grammy Fan but suffered through the show to watch the Les Paul Tribute. It was worth the wait and was a fitting Tribute to the man that revolutionized the electric guitar. Jeff Beck was amazing.

Re: Jeff Beck at the Grammys!

no one since Beck has been as progressive/experimental, while remaining as firmly rooted in traditional styles

Re: Jeff Beck at the Grammys!

He nailed it.The whole performance was great.

Kind of wonder how many people in the audience know anything about Les Paul though.
They flocked to those moron's that performed with Slash.

I think you are right, its not called the Jeff Beck model or even inspired by Jeff Beck is it? Its just the Oxblood Les Paul. I bet Jeff wouldnt sanction the sig on it but the stiffed him anyway. If that is the case I would have gone with the Strat just to piss Gibson off

Re: Jeff Beck at the Grammys!

i was just kidding haha, but i have always wondered about the oxblood. I bet the whacky bridge pickup placement wouldnt sound great. When I think of Becks LP tone, i think of the burst he used on Truth

Nothing better than a good old fashioned conpiracy. And if a conspiracy doesn't exist it's just as much fun just to make one up!
