Thats right,,My oldest boy I call him "The Boy Wonder"(that I bought a trick for,Instead of my elusive Gibson les paul Custom )
had a bit of a boo boo,And now I have to replace a front fender on the S-10 I bought him...
I ordered the fender and it is already here.
Im doing the work to save ALOT of money...Plus Im good at this kind of stuff..
A friend is going to spray it for me, cuz I dont have a spraygun.I only have an airbrush and that would take all day to cover.
ANYHOOOO.I may do a step by step (pics included) before and after post...
Unless something goes wrong and I get pissed off and start throwing stuff....Which is what my money is on...

My buddy is a good body man-unfortunately, he is the exception, not the rule-

Well for some reason my phone wont let me view any pictures,,,But I have started on my Body work ...I have taken the front bumber off and sanded it and the new right fender.....I did this after working all night (8 hours) and then I spent 6 1/2 hours sanding...Needless to say Im spent....At work and I feel like crap..And the night is dragging by...After work I have to go get my paint mixed so I can drop off the parts to a buddie that is going to spray them for me.......This weekend is my 4 day weekend.(The only weekend I get off,I get 1, 4 day weekend off a month)So Im planning on putting it all back together then...I'll try and get some pictures......

Parts got sprayed today,,,All the sanding paid off....
I should get them back,And have it put back together, ready to re-pinstripe this weekend.....
Gonna be good as new....It looks like crap with out the front bumper...
This is a pic of when I just bought it....(Teenagers,,)

That front fender (behind the headlight) has a football sized dent in it,And the bumper (In front of the wheel) was torqued a bit and had tire rash on it...
So I ordered a new fender from Parts Train.Com and pulled, and straightened the bumper.....
My Phone is fried,I cant get into my pictures so Ill put my Micro SD card in my wifes phone (the same model of phone as mine) and get some pics..Before the part swap and after.......I have to say This has been fun..(I love this kind of stuff)
But I havent picked up my guitars since I started on it......
Im just having a hard time keeping him out of my truck (The red Ford beast in the background)
I told him if he would bring mine back looking like his ,,,,He would come up missing....(I kid,,I kid)
The black KIa Sorrento is the wifes ride,,I let her decide who drives it.....

I showed my youngest son (13) how to play "Iron Man".
Thats as far as he went..."Its harder than Guitar hero dad"...sssseeeessshh..
Wonder boy (My oldest (18) that crunched the truck) Has no desire to learn...
But thats Ok I have no desire to show him...
He is in that defiant stage of being a teenager,,You know,The you dont know sh*t,And I know it all,Im an adult now stage.....
So Its a joy being around him at times..
But Thats part of the game,,I went through it also....
Just being on this side of it is new,,
Back then when I was going through it,You didnt have all these laws protecting the kids they have now-a-days...
So you still had that fear of getting a good a$$ whoopin'..Today they know that you cant do anything and they feed on it...
I noticed it Bigtime this shool year...Last summer he was fine,Did what he was told,No problem,,,
Now that he is back in school,,,Its like night and day...WWIII every night...
We just have to get him graduated,,thats all,Then its "Good luck to ya"....
I was on my own at 18,I graduated and made it this far....
And thats the way he is going to have to learn,the same way I did,,The hard way..........
