how about a fractional tube amp then you won't have to carpet or walls or cover them with egg cartons (old time trick) and hell who knows you might be able to hear something when your in your twenties. I had a hearing test a few months back and the people in the room around me were reacting to what was in headphones on my head faster than I was. My wife was about ten feet away and could hear more than I could.
Trust me I now know you should not crank an amp and stand next to it like just my little sister said every day "you'll be sorry" who knew the little shit was right.
