Hey Mash... how about a potentially, practically free solution?

Carpet. You can go to your local carpet store and get remnants and pieces... some will even give it away (or throw it away). All you need is a staple gun and a razor knife. You can patchwork the walls in carpet. It is easily cleaned, will kill the sound quite effectively, and can be done for practically nothing.

It does work... it is what the storage place we used for rehearsals did to kill the sound between units. It isn't sound proof, but it sure is sound absorbant....
