On the custom theaters I sell we have the drywallers install sound absorbing drywall,
about $30 for a 4x8 sheet. Also you could use regular drywall, stager your studs
and install another layer. In my opinion, unless you are recording or have a horrible
standing wave pattern the packages you see in Sweetwater are overpriced and not
effective for sound proofing.
